Shimshal/Pamir Hunza Trek

Out of the treks in Hunza, one of the most famous is Shimshal/Pamir Trek. Shimshal is located in the Upper Hunza region. It is an area covering almost 3000sq miles. The beautiful Shimshal village is located at a three and a half hours distance from the Karakorum Highway.  It was accessible for the first time in October 2003 by Jeep. Furthermore, this valley holds attractions for various kinds of tourists. This spectacular trek takes us to one of the most remotely inhabited areas of the Karakorum. Snow Lake Biafo-Hispar

Biafo Glacier and Hispar Glacier meet at 5151 meters Hispar Pass. Also, this forms one of the longest glacier systems in the world. This highway of ice connects two ancient mountain kingdoms. To clarify, Hunza in the west and Baltistan in the east. Biafo and Hispar trek runs through one of the most remote and fascinating landscapes in all the Greater Himalayas. Further, this enormous highway of ice and stones was historically important. Specifically, this was important for trades between the kingdoms of Baltistan and Hunza. Moreover, this route was used extensively to connect the Silk Route with the Indian Sub-continent, China, and Tibet.

Batura Glacier Passu Hunza Trek

This trek is a fascinating experience. Firstly, get to stroll along a flower-strewn gully between the lateral moraine of Batura Glacier and the mountains. Furthermore, It provides breath-taking views of high peaks. For example, Ultar, Shisper, Passu Peak, Karun Koh, and others in the Shimshal region. From Fatima Hill, you can have an unforgettable view of the grand North face of Batura Massif. Also, halfway between Kukhil and Guchsum is the wide plateau of Shelman. Here, the Urthum brook flows from the North.
